This is a great gift for someone that will last for months to come! Something a little different too. These come in a black ceramic pot with stones around and like a healthy amount of water up to the stones to keep them hydrated.

About the plant: Lucky bamboo is a species of the genus Dracaena.  It is one of a group of small, shrubby species with slender stems and flexible strap-shaped leaves that grow as understory plants in rainforests. It is actually not related to bamboo at all! It is native to Cameroon in tropical west Africa.
