Delivery Info

• Note: Valentines Day deliveries are occurring as per our normal schedule detailed below.
   

• Delivery to most Auckland areas is now FREE - Order by 12pm Mon-Fri for same day delivery, or by 10.30am on Saturday.
  
  Delivery to most Local areas is now FREE also - Order by 4pm Mon-Fri for same day delivery, or by 10.30am on Saturday.
  
  * Ensure you check your specific area in our delivery guide.
  
  * Free delivery does not apply on Extras items (i.e. someone sending just a teddy bear) as they are designed to sent with a floral gift).  
   

• On our free Auckland and Local delivery service, we guarantee delivery to a school by 3pm, work addresses by 5pm and residential addresses by 7pm.
  If it arrives outside these hours but on the same day, you qualify for a $10 refund on your order. Floral couriers do not ask for a signature.
   

  For deliveries outside of Auckland, we can not guarantee any delivery times. If you let us know a specific time when you order, we will relay this to the commercial courier. They will do their best to achieve it, but there is no guarantee of this.
   

Chargeable delivery areas

• Some Local rural and North Shore destinations such as Drury Rural, Clevedon Township, Long Bay and Devonport incur a delivery surcharge of $10 - Order by 12pm that day (weekdays only)
  Choose option "Local rural +$5" when you are on the cart page.
• Auckland Outer/Rural areas on a same day basis and incur a delivery surcharge of $10 - Order by 12pm that day (weekdays only)
  Choose option "Auckland Outer/Rural +$10" when you are on the cart page
• North Island areas are sent on a next day basis, for an additional $10 delivery surcharge - Order by 3pm the day before.
  Choose option "North Island +$10" when you are on the cart page
• South Island areas are sent on 2 day service for an additional $15 delivery surcharge - Order by 3pm 2 days before.
  Choose option "South Island +$15" when you are on the cart page.
  We do not do deliveries to the South Island on Bartercard. Please use the Bartercard maps site to find a local florist in the area to contact.
• You can pick up your order from our store - remember to let us know when you would like to be ready!
  Choose option "Store Pick Up" when you are on the cart page.
   
• Rural deliveries - we do not do them outside of Auckland, as we can not guarantee the state of the gift once it arrives.
• We do not do deliveries on Sunday except for Mothers Day Sunday
• Cut off time for Saturday deliveries is 10.30am that day

When will it get there
 

• Use our delivery guide to see what suburbs we deliver to, what days we deliver on and the delivery cost. Hit Ctrl + F and type the suburb you are looking for to quickly locate the suburb or town you are looking for in your browser.
• When you are ordering, you will be prompted to give the delivery details. Please choose a date within the days we can deliver (specified in delivery guide). There are no deliveries made on Sunday in NZ, except for Mothers Day.
• Deliveries in Auckland are made by the following guaranteed times:
  - At home - delivery hours 9am - 7pm
  - At work - delivery hours 9am - 5pm
  - In hospital - delivery hours 9am - 7pm
  - At school - delivery hours 9am - 3pm
  Please choose the relevant option for your Recipient when ordering. If you have a specific time when something must be delivered by, please let us know in the special instructions and we will do our best to deliver it by then.
• We do not offer an urgent or guaranteed timed delivery service and please note, the first courier run leaves us at 9.30am on weekdays and 12pm on weekends, so delivery before those times to any area are not possible.
• For all deliveries out of Auckland which go overnight, we cannot give any indication or guarantee of delivery time apart from business by 5 and residential by 7.  Orders are sent by road or airfreight overnight and then we rely on delivery couriers in the town of destination to deliver during the day.
• If you request a particular time for delivery, we always notify the couriers but we cannot guarantee that it will happen due to volumes.

What happens if no one is home?

Our couriers only make one attempt at delivery. If the recipient is not home, they will leave your gift in a safe, cool place and leave a card in the letterbox advising where and when it was left. Occasionally your gift may be left with a neighbour if they are prepared to accept the flowers and the courier is comfortable leaving them with them. If this happens, a card will either be left under the door or in the letterbox advising that this has been done. Please ensure that you give us full delivery instructions and phone numbers to avoid potential problems. Note: We do not accept deliveries for apartment addresses without a contact number, as we have found often people are out and there is nowhere safe to leave it.
 

Rural deliveries

Due to the time it takes to deliver flowers to rural addresses, we no longer send flowers to NZ rural deliveries (we still do rural deliveries in Auckland though). You can choose to send a plant or gift basket/box gift, however, delivery date can not be guaranteed due to the unreliability of rural couriers. We trust that customers are providing us with full and correct address details - however Roses Are Red accepts no responsibility for damages or delays if you position an address to be non-rural, when it is. If you have any queries whether your delivery is rural, please either consult GoogleMaps or contact us and we can check our courier schedule.
 

Other delivery notes

• If you choose the wrong delivery fee, we will email you back straight away with a link to the site to pay the additional funds. We will not dispatch the order until you have paid the additional funds. If you do not know what delivery method to choose, please contact us,
• Ensure you check the days of the week and cut off time for your delivery in the table above - If you order too late or choose a delivery date which we can not send on, we will email you straight back to confirm the next available delivery date. In the event of multiple deliveries to one address, the delivery cost will be quoted according to size of package and location
